New Gun Owner Training Package - Includes Concealed Carry
This two course package is a comprehensive introduction to the world of handguns. You will get exactly the training you need to get comfortable with your new handgun, or get you ready to purchase your first one. The first portion of this training package is our Firearm Familiarization and Safety Course. On the date and time of your choice, you will spend an hour one-on-one with a USCCA certified instructor. We will break down the basic safety and firearm handling rules, then cover the terminology you will need to know as a new gun owner. We will then take you into the range and give you hands-on instruction while you fire a handgun in a safe, controlled environment. This course is essential for those just getting into the world of firearms, and is a perfect prerequisite for our Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP) class. We hold CHP classes every Saturday and Sunday, from 10:00am to 5:00pm. During your Concealed Handgun Permit course, we will review firearm handling and safety basics, then provide comprehensive instruction on conflict avoidance, your legal liability as a gun owner, how to handle the aftermath of a violent encounter, and the Nebraska laws that govern your ownership and use of firearms. Whether or not you are ready to carry a gun in public, we recommend getting your CHP now, since it will help keep you legally safe while owning and transporting your firearm. Our safety course is $59, and our CHP course is $89. Taking these classes separately would cost $148. We offer this two course package at a discounted rate of $129. If you do not yet own a handgun and need to rent one, you will only be charged one rental fee to cover both classes. Rentals are $25, plus the cost of ammunition (you will need one 50 round box). When you sign up for this package, please choose the date and time you would like to take the safety and introduction portion with one of our instructors. After that portion, we will schedule your CHP class on a date that works best for you.
